About Us

Associated Fine Artists

Welcome to Associated Fine Artists! We have been in existence in San Diego for over 20 years and exhibit with success regularly in many different places in the San Diego region. We encourage interested artists to contact us and get involved. We have regular meetings on the second Wednesday of every month at 11:30 am. For further information, contact us for details. Artists in our association are experienced in a wide variety of media, including oil, watercolor, acrylic and mixed media.

The Purpose of Associated Fine Artists is to promote artistic development, encourage social interaction, and provide for our members to exhibit and to sell their original creations.

We were founded in 1981 as a non-profit organization by a group of San Diego County artists, whose mutual purposes were to foster new friendships within the visual arts community, and to seek opportunities to exhibit their artwork.

During the interim we evolved into a permanent, prominent art guild whose members benefit from the myriad advantages of an established affiliation. Today our roster proudly includes professional artists as well as teachers, docents and many who have attained coveted awards in juried and judged competitions.

Our art comprises a broad range of styles and media: oils, pastels, watercolors, colored pencils, Chinese Brush, collages, and photography. The subjects are as varied as the colors of the spectrum, and many of our members accept commissioned contracts.

Associated Fine Artists conducts numerous exhibits each year, in such diversified venues as galleries, theaters, churches, restaurants, and both public and private facilities.
